Everyone seems to have their own favorite way to shop. Case in point…shopping with a list. Is that a Yes or a No for you? I can make the argument for either.
Yes – always shop with a list.
When you shop with a list, it’s easier to remember and to stay on track with what you need. You’re less likely to make impulse buys, shopping mistakes and budget busters.
No – leave the list at home.
Only looking for items on your list could keep you from spotting your next favorite, feel-good item. Follow your heart. Let yourself be drawn to something you never thought of trying.
Or how about…Yes and No
It’s very gratifying to come home with the item that was on your list. After all, you needed it enough to make a note about it.
However, when you’re open to the element of surprise you’ll be able to take advantage of the new things that come into the store all the time. Or maybe you’re considering a shift in your style, so you want to experiment a little. Then again, maybe you want to play around a little with the trends. For example (and I’m speaking directly to myself at this point, as this is something I’m considering) maybe you’ve been wearing skinny jeans for years now and you were thinking of adding a new pair. This may be the year you fall in love with wide-leg jeans simply because you allowed yourself to bring them into the dressing room and try them on.
When it comes to shopping and lists, there’s no right or wrong way to go about it – most of us do it both ways depending on the circumstance.
How about you? Are you Yes or No or both when it comes to lists?
Thanks for reading – stay stylish!
