Whenever I talk with a client about making changes in their wardrobe, I can almost see the dollar signs popping up in their eyes. The good news is that I’m able to bring them back to normal quickly because quite often the changes we start with are ‘baby steps’. These are things you can do easily without breaking the bank – I’m talking <$100. Here are a few of my favorites – I’ll be sharing these in three separate blog posts, so come back for more next week.
Nail a New Nail Color
I mean – how easy is this? When you’re looking through your favorite fashion magazine, what colors inspire you? Bolds? Pastels? Metallics? Pick one you’ve not worn before and give it a try. Easy-peasy!
Buy a Shoe with some Sass
Forgo your usual choices and play around with an inexpensive shoe with attitude. Maybe it’s an animal print, or polka dots, or a bright color. If you’re always in jeans, try pairing them with a classic pump.
See Things Differently
Get yourself down to your local drugstore and score a pair or two of new reading glasses. Try one in a fun color or pattern, or maybe in a different shape than you’re used to. They’re not expensive so you can get a few to match your moods.
Time for a New Watch
Cute watches can be found anywhere, even the drugstore. Check out the juniors section in the department store for trendy watches at a reasonable price. You’re not trying to replace your good watch – this is something that can be an accent piece and fun for right now.
Which one(s) will you try? Thanks for reading!
