One of My Favorite Spring Trends

I’m just loving – no – LOVING – one of the trends I’m seeing this Spring and just have to share it with you. The trend is the accent on sleeves – whether they’ve got a big bell at the bottom, or are the cold-shoulder type with an added ruffle or some other detail, they’re just so interesting. Depending on how much volume you can handle, it’s a trend that I think can suit a lot of body types and styles. When I was on a recent shopping foray, I was impressed with all the selection that was available, so I’m sure you can find something that will fit the bill. As someone who isn’t at all into ruffles and frills, I found a few choice pieces myself, so I know it can be done. I haven’t got any clients into this trend at the moment, but am certainly going to suggest it if it’s something that will work in their wardrobe.

You may not go as big as this street-style example…

but there are lots of other options. Here are a few favorites I’ve seen in the stores:

Aqua - Bloomingdale's

I’m especially drawn to the cold-shoulder versions because if you’re at an age (as I am) where you’re not as inclined to wear as many sleeveless tops as you used to, you can usually feel really good about your shoulders.

Is this a trend you’ll try this season?
