Yes, it is the ‘dead of winter’ so what better time to find a glow somewhere? While I wish it was on a tropical island, I’ll find it wherever I can. So I am thrilled to share with you this new offering from California Closets Essentials line of accessories. I just got mine and it’s made all the difference in my morning routine. It’s the simplehuman® Sensor Mirror. Love, love, love it!

Why?

1.Because it automatically lights up when I bring my face near it. And then shuts off when I move away.
2.Because I can actually see when I put on my eye makeup now.
3.I can bask in a soft glow when I’m up-close-and-personal with my face.
4.It’s cordless, but a red light comes on when it needs recharging, so that’s easy-peasy.

Of course, at my age I don’t recommend spending a lot of time in front of a magnifying mirror – that’s not going to be uplifting in any way. But when you need to see what you’re doing in a flattering light, this I can recommend. It’s $199.99 which is more than I’ve ever spent on a makeup mirror, but I’ve been so happy since I got mine that it’s been totally worth it.

This new Essentials line also has lots of great jewelry (and other) organizing tools – I recently got a divided tray that has really been a big help to me.
