Favorite Things

I love to share my favorite things, especially when I think they might be enjoyed by a lot of women. This blog has two favorite things – one is new and one I’ve been loving for quite a while now. For the long-timer, it’s my polo shirt from Old Navy. No, I don’t play polo but I do play golf and I’ve been loving these shirts for several reasons. The first and most important is that they have a longer length (so they don’t pull up too high when I’m swinging the club) and they are slightly fitted for a woman’s shape. The second is price. I mean – $8? I don’t expect them to last for years at that price, but they do hold up very well, and wash and dry beautifully. The link here doesn’t show many colors, but I’ve found a good selection of basic colors (red, pink, yellow, white) in the store.

The second favorite of this month – and my new find – are these longer length stretch shorts from Chico’s. They’re the So Slimming style/Bridgette, pull-on, and so comfy. (I got some So Slimming capris too, which I also love.) They’re pricier at $79 (although they’re on sale now for $49. Woot!) and they wash and hang dry beautifully. I touch them up with my steamer and they look great. I do miss my days of wearing cute little skorts to golf, but I haven’t found any in a longer length yet. Since I’m not thrilled with my wrinkly skin above my knees, I prefer not to show it, unless I’m at the beach, and then who cares? Some women don’t get bothered by that kind of thing, but I know of lot of us do. So these shorts fit the bill perfectly for me.

Thanks for reading!
