It’s All in the Details

I tend to favor simple designs when it comes to my style of dressing. Ruffles and bows – nope. Flowy layers – nope. But I do like to have definition and an element of surprise in my outfits, and that’s where it’s all in the details.

Case in point – I found this great sweater in a local consignment store. While bows don’t interest me at all, I did like the simplicity of the single large bow woven into the sweater, plus the black and white contrasted nicely with the bright green of the sweater. AND … the clincher for me… the surprise little bow on the back of the sweater!

I wanted to share this with you because little details can make all the difference in an outfit. Maybe it’s a zipper in an unexpected place…

Or a pop of a color you don’t usually wear…

You can add interest to the simplest of outfits with a little touch of extra detailing. With the coming of Spring (and aren’t we all ready?!) it’s a good time to give it a try. Are you game?

Stay stylish – thanks for reading!
