I hate to say it, but there are few trends anymore that really knock my socks off. Much of what we see feels rehashed and reworked, but as a wise one once said “There is nothing new under the sun” (and that was maaaany years ago!) That being said, there is one trend in particular this season that I’m finding to be lots of fun – embellished shoes. We’re used to seeing embellishments on evening shoes but not so much on the other shoes and boots in our wardrobe. Until now!

What I love about this trend is that it really elevates the shoe to a true accessory – it can ‘make’ the whole outfit. And how easy is that? Whether it’s a metallic leather, or studs, or embroidery – these elements add a pop of “Wow” to a simple outfit. I’m especially loving what’s happening with sneakers.
